Good Grief - Bald Statements Exhibition

St Richard’s Hospice will be hosting this critically acclaimed exhibition of alabaster sculptures illustrating the stages of grief and loss from 22nd February to 22nd March.

The eight sculpted heads reflect the evolving emotions of the sculptor, Jean Parker, after she was diagnosed with cancer. They present a powerful and unique visual exploration of the grief process. The alabaster heads on their plinths relate not only to loss of health, but also to significant loss of any kind. The hope is that the exhibition will help stimulate discussion and the understanding of powerful emotions, offering glimpses of hope when all seems lost. A DVD and helpful resources accompany the exhibition.

Bald Statements at St Richard’s also coincides with the national campaign, Dying Matters Awareness Raising Week, which aims to widen the debate on death, dying and bereavement.

We would welcome individuals and groups to visit the exhibition which is available to view at Wildwood Drive, Worcester, WR5 2QT. Bald Statements can be viewed during normal office hours (no booking required) and there are a limited number of evening visits on: Wednesday, 24th February; Wednesday, 3rd March; Wednesday, 10th March
Wednesday, 17th March.

To book an evening visit (times are flexible to suit your group) please contact the Chaplain, Revd David Knight on 01905 763963 or email chaplain@strichards.org.uk
