In partnership with local universities we provide placements for:
- Student Nurses (3rd year)
- Medical students
- Doctors in training
- Student Social Workers
- Student Counsellors
- Paramedic students
- Complementary Therapy students
These placements range from a half-day up to six months. They are an ideal way to gain an insight into the philosophy of hospice care, and how we support patients and their families.
Because of the demand, we can only provide placements for those colleges and universities we have an agreement with. If you are not sure whether your education provider fits into this category, please contact your placement coordinator.
Through career advisors and work experience coordinators, we may also provide short work experience placements for students in sixth form colleges.
Placements of this nature are limited and require consideration as to the suitability of the student to a hospice environment.
In addition we offer job shadowing opportunities for professionals working within the care and medical sector.
