We know there’s no place like home.
That’s why we provide specialist care for patients in the community, enabling them to be in their own surroundings when it matters most.
Patients like Suzy Quartermain (pictured above left), who wanted to be at home with her husband Barrie, and children Daisy and Thomas, as far as possible. When the time came for Suzy to join us at the hospice, we did everything in our power to make her right at home.
Each patient’s room is specially designed to have a view of, and access to, our calming and comforting gardens. Our catering team provides hearty homecooked meals, or lighter bites, because nothing tastes quite like your favourite food.
We like to think St Richard’s is a home from home. And, we have you and people like you to thank for creating this place. You see, last year it cost £8.75m to run the hospice, including patient care and necessary support services. We rely on supporters to help us raise the majority of our income.
