This is a 2 day course for individuals working with families and patients facing life-threatening illness and bereavement.
To enable the participants to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, self-awareness and confidence to offer effective support pre and post death.
To develop appropriately qualified support workers who will be effective within the context of their work.
Models of grief
Develop practical skills to support the bereaved.
Practice skills sessions where participants will have the opportunity to use and reflect upon those skills-Participants will be expected to take part in these practice sessions.
