The St Richard’s Hospice Donor Tree has 456 elegant bronze, silver and gold effect leaves and takes pride of place in the hospice reception for all to see.
After you have selected your leaf colour and donation amount, you can choose your own personal message to be engraved on a leaf. This may be to remember or celebrate someone special or perhaps in recognition of a company or staff member.
Each leaf will remain in place on the tree for one year starting from July and December. After 12 months you can choose to renew your donation and keep the leaf on the tree or the hospice can send it back to you to keep and treasure forever.
The Donor Tree is a representation of how hospice care is growing both within St Richard’s and across the Worcestershire community. The Donor Tree will provide recognition for those important in our community and also essential income for the hospice to fund our care in years to come.
A reception will be held for all Donor Tree supporters on Tues 3rd December 2019, between 3pm and 7pm, so that you can take time to visit and meet others who have chosen this special way to support the future of the hospice – tea and cake included.
Kindly sponsored by A44 Tyre Shop and A44 Exhausts
“As Worcestershire companies who have experienced the wonderful care and support provided at St Richard’s Hospice, we are proud to sponsor the Donor Tree”
Below shows our suggested donation amounts per leaf:
Leaves are laser engraved brushed bronze, silver or gold effect, in return for an appropriate donation.
As leaves are strictly limited, any donation for a leaf is in addition to any funds already received. Only new personal and company donations outside of events and collections are permissible. We cannot back date donations to purchase a leaf.
Inscriptions are carried out by St Richard’s Hospice in one font and limited to 26 characters including spaces. This may, for example, be a loved one’s name, a company name or someone you would like to recognise for an occasion or achievement.
Leaves will all be installed on 1st December 2019 and taken down on 30th November 2020. (St Richard’s has the right to alter the installation or removal date in line with operational hospice needs). Supporters will be contacted one month prior to the leaf being taken down to ask if a further year of display is preferred for the renewal donation. If you do not wish to renew your donation, your leaf will be returned to you for your safekeeping.
Leaves are limited to 456 at any one time. If a request is made for a leaf and there is no availability you will be informed immediately and will be advised of the next possible installation date.
St Richard’s Hospice has the right to decline any donation or choice of wording for inscription. Company websites are not permissible on inscriptions, nor any political or religious messages. Inappropriate language of any kind will be declined.
In exceptional circumstances St Richard’s Hospice has the right to relocate the tree to another appropriate site within the hospice.
The name inscribed will be as you have entered, so please check the spelling carefully.
Visitors are welcome to view the tree at any time when the hospice reception is open. Please call ahead to check opening times. For more information, see our terms and conditions.
