We’ve offered some big challenges over the years here at St Richard’s but how about walking – or running – the length of the country for our care in a year!
We’re asking you to walk or run a little each day, completing 874 miles over a 12-month period.
As terrifying as that may sound, that’s just under 17 miles a week or around 2.4 miles a day.
And you don’t have to go it alone, you can register as a family, team or a community sharing the miles between you. More legs make for lighter work!
In December 2020, the community of Shrawley walked an incredible 3,306 miles to the North Pole with the whole village getting on board. They raised a brilliant £3,604 for our care in the process, something which could fund a Hospice at Home care assistant for 37 days, providing a vital service for those needing our care in the community during the pandemic.
It’s free to sign-up and all those who complete the challenge will receive a completion medal! The easiest way to fundraise is to set up a Just Giving page.
