Scenic Six 2020

April 5

We are sorry to announce that the organisers of ‘Scenic Six’ have decided to cancel in light of world events at the moment. A hugely popular, community-led event, it’s a decision the team hasn’t taken lightly but is based on public safety at the current time. We would like to apologise for any disappointment this news may bring.

For more information and to request a refund of your registration fee, please contact the fundraising team on 01905 958 262 or email If you would like your registration fee to remain as a donation towards the free specialist care we provide to patients and their families across Worcestershire, please let us know by Friday 20th March.

Why not join us for a six-mile mile run or two-mile walk/fun-run through the lovely village of Peopleton?

An off-road event, providing a safe and scenic route for experienced runners or families alike, it’s also a brilliant way to help us fund the care we provide here at St Richard’s.

Registration/race number collection takes place from 9am in the Village Hall with the race itself starting at 11am. There is no parking at the village hall car park. Please park on field opposite where the start of the race commences.

You can also register online in advance (online booking fee applies):

6 mile £12.00 per person
2 mile £3.00 per person
Online registration closes Wednesday 1st April at midnight.

On the day entries £15 & £5.

We are encouraging participants to bring their own refillable water bottle, to reduce the amount of plastic we use at events. Thank you♻️

And there’s an awards ceremony and refreshments to enjoy afterwards in the Village Hall!

Please help us deliver specialist care at St Richard’s and in the community by pledging to raise £20. 100% of what you raise will go directly to us.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

During this challenging time, we are doing our utmost to continue caring for the patients and loved ones who need us most.

The way we work has been adapted, with many of our services delivered remotely – such as over the phone, or by video call. And we are working closely with other health care professionals in Worcestershire to share knowledge and expertise at this time.

Latest changes at St Richard’s Hospice

  • In-patient Unit: To protect patients and staff  from the spread of the virus, we are following national guidance and therefore it is with regret we are not able to accept visitors. Please do not hesitate to contact the In-patient Unit with any questions on 01905 958163. Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.
  • Community Nursing: Community services continue to operate, with a mixture of hands-on care and remote support.
  • Living Well and Family Support Services: Switched to virtual model, with care given remotely over the phone or via video call.
  • Shops: All 19 of our shops and warehouse are temporarily closed. Please do not leave donations outside our shops, as we are unable to collect them at this time.
  • Fundraising: All hospice organised events until the end of August have been postponed. If you wish to support us, please donate to our Resilience Fund.

Please do not visit St Richard’s Hospice if you have a high temperature or new, continuous cough. If you have these symptoms, please stay at home and self-isolate for seven days. See NHS advice on coronavirus.

Thank you for your support and understanding at this difficult time.
