Worcester’s Big Parade – Art Trail
13th July – 5th September 2021

For eight weeks this summer, Worcester will be brought to life by a parade of beautifully decorated elephant sculptures. Elephants – both big and small – will form a stunning, free art trail through the city’s streets and open spaces, bringing together the community for one unforgettable event.

Have you ‘herd’?

Each large sculpture will be sponsored by a business and individually designed by an artist, either well-known or just starting out, from Worcestershire or further afield.  Elephant calves will be designed and decorated by local schools and community groups.

After this, there will be the chance to say a final ‘goodbye’ at a Farewell Event, before each large elephant is auctioned to raise funds for our care here at St Richard’s.

Costs

The Art Trail is completely free for people to take part, however you can support St Richard’s Hospice by picking up a Trail Map from Worcester’s Big Parade pop-up shop on Broad Street, Worcester. The shop is open 10am-4pm Mon-Sun for the duration of the trail (12th July – 5th September 2021 only). Alternatively download the Worcester’s Big Parade App to your mobile device!

How your fundraising helps

Worcester’s Big Parade builds on the hugely successful Worcester Stands Tall giraffe trail in 2018, which saw giraffe sculptures displayed across the city before raising £210,000 for St Richard’s at auction. We hope to raise a similar amount this time, whilst also encouraging people to fundraise for us during the trail itself.
