Hospice dress agency celebrates first birthday

A hospice is celebrating the first birthday of its designer dress agency in Bromsgrove.

St Richard’s Hospice opened its Mill Lane-based shop, named Déjà Vu, at this time last year and is inviting people to come and mark the occasion and enjoy a slice of cake on Saturday, February 23.

The shop is a dress agency which gives customers the chance to sell their designer items and receive a percentage back – while supporting the care of the Worcester-based hospice.

Dan Corns, Commercial Director at St Richard’s Hospice, said: “The year has whizzed by and we’re delighted that local people are supporting us.”

He added: “This unique way of selling your designer and high-end, high street clothes through the agency offers a very different experience for St Richard’s customers.

“Proceeds raised by the shop will help fund our free care to patients living with a serious progressive illness, their families and bereaved people across Worcestershire.”

Shoppers can browse and buy during opening hours Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 5pm. And there will be sweets available in the shop next week, as part of the celebrations.

Anyone interested in selling their clothing or accessories can make an appointment by calling 01527 837863.

Volunteers with a passion for fashion and an eye for detail are also needed to help at the shop. They can gain a new experience through volunteering, make a difference to hospice care and meet new people. If you are interested in getting involved please call the Volunteering Team on 01905 763963 or pop into the store.
