Hospice launches raffle with £5K top prize

A hospice has launched its annual fundraising raffle – featuring a top prize of £5,000.

The St Richard’s Hospice Grand Raffle could see someone win the prize money, having spent just £1 on a ticket.

Other prizes to be won include: brunch with Champagne for two at the Gherkin in London; a Gtech AirRam vacuum cleaner and dinner, bed and breakfast for two at the Chateau Impney in Droitwich.

Kelly Johns, hospice fundraiser, said: “We are thrilled to launch our raffle once again – it’s a fantastic way to support our care and possibly win a fabulous prize in return!

“Last year’s raffle raised a tremendous £50,316 profit for the hospice. This amount could fund our Day Hospice for more than a month, providing specialist, individual care to patients.

“We would like to thank all those who have supported our raffle in the past – and encourage everyone to get their tickets for this year’s draw too!”

Sponsoring the hospice’s raffle are Karndean Designflooring and Worcester Racecourse.

Paul Barratt, managing director at Karndean, said: “We are delighted to be one of the sponsors of St Richard’s Grand Raffle again this year.

“The hospice provides excellent specialist care and support to patients and their families across Worcestershire, so we are pleased to be able to continue our support of this vital fundraising.”

The city-based racecourse is now entering its tenth year supporting the St Richard’s raffle.

Jenny Cheshire, managing director of the racecourse, said: “Worcester Racecourse is delighted to be sponsoring the St Richard’s Hospice annual raffle for the tenth year and is fully supportive of the very important role the hospice has in our community.”

Tickets are available online by visiting strichards.org.uk/grandraffle, alternatively call the Fundraising Department on 01905 763963 or visit one of the St Richard’s shops across the county.

Tickets must be in by Friday, 22nd March 2019 and the draw will take place on Friday, 29th March 2019 at St Richard’s in Wildwood Drive, Worcester.
