A dedicated team of colleagues raised more than £2,000 for a hospice after walking to Italy on a treadmill.
Staff from ACMI UK, based in Broomhall Lane, Worcester, completed the sponsored 1,663-kilometre walk to the company’s head office in Parma over nine months.
A total of £2,550 was raised for St Richard’s Hospice, while the ACMI UK team also made donations to two other local charities.
Rick Gerrard, Managing Director at ACMI UK, said: “We are delighted to make this donation to St Richard’s Hospice. We wholeheartedly support their dedicated care and work across Worcestershire.
“It’s been our pleasure to help this great cause in some small way.”
Rachel Jones, Fundraising Manager at St Richard’s Hospice, said: “We are so pleased the team at ACMI completed its fantastic challenge – it was no mean feat, so we are very impressed by their efforts!
“Every penny of their donation to us will go towards helping us provide our free, specialist care to patients, their loved ones and the bereaved across Worcestershire.
“We would like to say a big thank you to everyone at ACMI who helped raise such a brilliant amount.”
During this challenging time, we are doing our utmost to continue caring for the patients and loved ones who need us most.
The way we work has been adapted, with many of our services delivered remotely – such as over the phone, or by video call. And we are working closely with other health care professionals in Worcestershire to share knowledge and expertise at this time.
