Salary Scale: St. Richard’s Hospice Payscale – Pay Point 10 (£23,732 - £24,917 per annum)
12 Month Fixed-Term Contract to Cover Maternity Leave
St. Richard’s Hospice provides free specialist palliative and end of life care for adults in South Worcestershire with a serious progressive illness through our community teams, our newly developed state-of-the-art Living Well Centre and our seventeen beds. We offer care and encouragement to our patients, enabling them to take control of their lives as their condition changes and also offer support to their families and carers.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and passionate professional to join us as a Family Support Practitioner to work with the Hospice’s Bereavement and Community Volunteer teams to provide a comprehensive service to patients and their families.
This is an exciting time to join the Hospice as we are currently expanding and undergoing a £5.2m building project in order to be able to improve the facilities on our site in Wildwood Drive and provide support to more patients and families in Worcestershire.
The successful candidate will provide an accessible supportive pre and post death service customised to each patient and family’s needs and provide and facilitate support groups, as necessary. This is an exciting opportunity where your existing skills, knowledge and experience can be developed further through our ongoing investment in your professional development.
A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care or counselling is an essential requirement for this role. Previous training and experience of working within the field of palliative care and bereavement is also required. Past involvement with multi-disciplinary teams would be advantageous.
