KissMay to support hospice care

Along with 30 other hospices across the country, St Richard’s Hospice will be taking part in Kiss-May, a new style of social media campaign to raise awareness and money for hospices.

On 29th May, St Richard’s will be encouraging people across Worcestershire to take photographs of themselves wearing red lipstick. Participants are then asked to post their ‘selfies’ on social media and to text a donation to help support hospice care.

On Kiss-May day people can get creative and have some fun wearing red lipstick, making lipstick imprints on someone’s cheek and taking a humorous photo to show their support for hospice care. The photo can then be posted on Facebook or Twitter, using the hashtag #KissMay and tagging St Richard’s Hospice.

Then, hospice supporters are asked to make a donation by texting KISS29 £2 to 70070 to send a £2 text donation to the Kiss-May campaign. (The cost is £2 plus the standard message charge for your phone tariff).

Jodi Brandwood, Community Fundraiser at St Richard’s Hospice, said; “This is a new and fun way to support your local hospice. St Richard’s will receive a share of the donations received during the campaign, which is being organised by the Care2Save Charitable Trust.”
