The IT One Team is a cross Hospice IT team delivering all IT services across our Hospice services across our Hospice Partners – currently St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester and Rowcroft and St Luke’s Hospices in the South West. The role will be based at St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester but will work across hospice teams, attending other sites as required.

The Infrastructure Engineer will work as part of the team to implement, maintain and support the network and information security systems that deliver high availability network infrastructure and services to all IT services across the hospices.

The postholder will work to maximise network performance, identifying risk, weakness and opportunities to develop services and identify, plan and implement network improvements, upgrades and changes in collaboration with key stakeholders. You will be responsible for implementing and delivering best practice to deliver resilient services, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending mitigations.  You will apply your technical skills to resolve 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support issues and provide remote support, including some out of hours on call activities.

Essential requirements of this role include Cisco Certified Network Associates (CCNA) Certificate or comparable certification and familiarity with ISO 27001 information security standards.  You will have strong experience in infrastructure engineering in an end to end IT service provision and proven experience of providing technical 2nd and 3rd line support.  We are looking for an individual who has enthusiasm and drive to deliver outstanding services across a wide range of IT related areas with the ability to use initiative and be able to cope under pressure.
