Hospitality Volunteer (Weekends) - Patients

Key activities will include:

supporting within our in patient unit
Making coffees and other drinks , relatives, patients and visitors
Assist Catering Team members with meal preparation
Delivering food and drinks to patient rooms

This is a great opportunity for a social, chatty, person who works well with other team members and the public.

General information:

All volunteers who regularly come to the hospice, or have patient contact, are subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks
Volunteers are required to comply with hospice policies and procedures including confidentiality
All volunteers are expected to attend induction training and annual mandatory updates relevant to their role

What skills will I need?

Approachable, trustworthy and adaptable
Good communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team as well as to own initiative
Empathy and caring nature
Comfortable speaking to the members of the public
Previous café experience is preferred but not a necessary requirement

Information on training provided

Full induction and training will be provided
Support and guidance by other members of staff
Please note this role is for weekends and being flexible would work well

Covid 19: you may be required to wear a mask in some areas
