A local social enterprise has launched a new Malvern Hills calendar with all profits going to support St Richard’s Hospice.
The calendar was created by Worcestershire-based social enterprise, Shuttersphere and features twelve images from in and around the Malverns.
The company was founded by local amateur photographer, John Wynn, who is aiming to raise money and awareness for a number of charities in the UK and further afield.
All profits from the sale of Shuttersphere’s Worcestershire images go to St Richard’s Hospice, which provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Each year the hospice team supports over 2,500 patients and family members in Worcestershire.
The calendar can be purchased online at www.shutter-sphere.com/calendars or in store at St Richard’s Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Barnards Green and Upton shops.
John said, “I was fortunate enough to spend time volunteering at St Richard’s and see first-hand the amazing support the charity provides. I enjoy taking the photos and being able to use them to help St Richard’s is a win-win.”
St Richard’s Fundraising Director Tricia Cavell said, “John has taken some fantastic and atmospheric photographs which make for a stunning calendar. He has been very generous giving his time to volunteer for St Richard’s and we are thrilled this has motivated him to help us raise even more funds towards our patient care.”
St Richard’s Hospice provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and supports their families. Each year the hospice team supports over 2,500 patients and family members in Worcestershire.
Patients are cared for in Day Hospice, the 17-bed In-patient Unit or in their own homes by a specialist professional team as well as many trained volunteers.
In the In-patient Unit, specialist staff are on hand 24 hours a day to manage patients’ symptoms and where, if appropriate, patients may spend the last few days of life in comfort and dignity. St Richard’s is an independent charity and is grateful for all donations to help it to continue its work.
