Book Volunteers – Tewkesbury

High Street, Tewkesbury

St. Richard’s Hospice have opened a brand new bookshop in Tewkesbury with an impressive collection of around 6000 books for literature lovers to browse.

The hospice is now on the look-out for community-spirited volunteers who have a real interest and passion for books to help staff the shop on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Volunteering in the hospice’s shops can be an extremely rewarding experience as there is a whole range of areas to work in – from manning the till to creating eye-catching window displays and sorting, researching and pricing the many book donations.

For many volunteers, the experience they gain working in the hospice’s shops benefits them in the long-term – with previous volunteers going on to secure permanent work in the retail sector with the skills they have learned as a volunteer.

If you’re interested in finding out more about volunteering in this brand new bookshop, please pop in to the shop or contact Kirstie Smith, St Richard’s Staff and Volunteer Recruitment Co-ordinator, on 01905 763963 or email
