WALKERS strode out across the Malvern Hills last weekend to raise more than £10,000 for a hospice charity.
The fortieth St Richard’s Hospice Malvern Hills Walk took place on Saturday, May 11, marking four decades of the charity’s history.
A total of 150 walkers took on either a two, five or 11-mile hike across the hills to raise £10,385, after costs, for the hospice’s care of patients, families and bereaved people.
Alison Parkes, Fundraiser at St Richard’s, said: “We had a fabulous time on Saturday with the sunny weather firmly on our side!
“It was wonderful to see so many turn out to walk the hills for hospice care in our fortieth year.
“This event is part of our history at St Richard’s and we’re grateful to everyone who’s stepped out to raise funds for us over the years.”
