Group support for families and carers

We offer a number of groups for carers and people experiencing bereavement. All our groups run face-to-face.

Carers support groups

Carers’ Cafe

The Carers’ Café runs monthly for carers of St Richard’s patients.

Tulip Group

This is a group for carers of patients who live with Parkinson’s and are supported by St Richard’s Hospice.

Bereavement support groups

STEPS Group

This group is for bereaved people who wish to meet others in an informal social drop-in setting. People can attend 10 sessions. The group meets once a month in the evening.

Sunflower bereavement groups

Closed mutual support group for people who have been recently bereaved. The groups runs for six to eight sessions. There are groups for those whose parent, partner or adult child has died.

Cookery group

This bereavement group supports people who want to find the motivation and confidence to cook and the opportunity to share a meal with others who are bereaved.

Relatives and friends through trauma (Raftt)

A bereavement mutual support group for adults whose loved one has died by suicide. This group runs once or twice a year for eight sessions.
