Visitors to the In-patient Unit only should enter via our rear car park in Spetchley Road, Worcester, not the main reception entrance, due to infection control measures in place for the pandemic.
If you have any difficulty in accessing the car park, please call our In-patient Unit on 01905 958163.
Access is by a short walk through the garden to the rear of the hospice, where you will arrive at the temporary visitor reception and then be shown to the patient’s room through external patio doors.
Please bring any refreshments you may need during the visit.
When you arrive at this postcode continue for about 100 yards and you will see large green gates on your left with St Richard’s Hospice sign.
OR from the hospice, turn right onto Wildwood Drive, at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Swinesherd Way A4440. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Whittington Road A44. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Spetchley Road. Continue along Spetchley Road and go straight over the mini roundabout. Continue until you see large green gates on your left with St Richard’s Hospice sign.

Arriving by car
St Richard’s Hospice is located close to Junctions 6 and 7 of the M5, and is clearly signposted from the A4440 Swinesherd Way. Find directions on Google Maps
The main hospice reception and car park is off Wildwood Drive, opposite to Worcester Woods Country Park.
Please drive up to the entry barrier and press the buzzer for admittance.
Arriving by bus
First Midland runs the number 45 service between the Crowngate Bus Station in Worcester city centre and Worcester Sixth Form College in Spetchley Road, Worcester.
From the Sixth Form College, it is a short walk to the hospice reception in Wildwood Drive.
This service runs regularly Monday to Saturday. Please check the First Midlands website for further information.
