Woo Fest 2020

July 4 @ 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Are you missing the festival vibes this summer? Devastated that you can’t listen to your favourite live bands in the sunshine whilst camping with your family and friends?

Then fear not! If you can’t come to the Festival, we’ll bring it to you!

You may not physically be able to attend the festival, but the dedicated Woo Fest team have been working with creative communication agency DRP to bring you a virtual day of live music and entertainment. The day will be jam packed with the familiar faces of dedicated Woo Fest acts, exciting new acts making their Woo Fest debuts and even some surprise Celebrity appearances! (Watch this space!).

You will enjoy performances from a variety of musical genres to suit all ages and tastes, delivered to you through pre-recorded sets and LIVE studio performances, along with LIVE acoustic acts performing from the sunny terrace of the DRP studios which overlooks the stunning Worcestershire countryside in Hartlebury.

The day will be hosted by live presenters, the Woo Fest team and will even give shout outs to families and friends watching at home. The event will run on DRP’s own website making it much easier to broadcast than on social media sites. Full info will be provided nearer the day.

Why not set up a festival in your own homes or gardens? Woo Fest will bring the music! Decorate in true festival style, dig out your festival hats and fancy dress, cook tasty festival foods and drink your favourite festival tipples! Don’t forget to take pics and interact with us on the day and share your festival experiences with us.

All we ask is for you to enjoy a day of amazing live music, get into the festival spirit and simply donate! There will no “entry tickets”, simply donate to the St Richard’s Hospice on the day through a variety of different options.

All of the performers, volunteers, DRP and other companies involved in delivering Woo Fest, generously give their time for free, as they do each year. This enables 100% of all monies raised to go directly towards the care that St Richard’s hospice provides. Thank you for your support.

Woo Fest Voted “Best Small Festival” at the 2019 UK Festival Awards.

*Social distancing will be in place at all times during live links and performances and pre recorded performances at the DRP studio.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

During this challenging time, we are doing our utmost to continue caring for the patients and loved ones who need us most.

The way we work has been adapted, with many of our services delivered remotely – such as over the phone, or by video call. And we are working closely with other health care professionals in Worcestershire to share knowledge and expertise at this time.

Latest changes at St Richard’s Hospice

  • In-patient Unit: It is with great sadness that due to stringent infection control measures, we are required to restrict visiting and cannot offer the comprehensive level of service in the way we usually do. However, we will still do our utmost to make sure that each patient and loved one is given the compassion and dignity they deserve. To help families stay in touch we are encouraging virtual visiting using technology such as video calls and apps. This will be discussed and explained to patients and families on admission and we can help provide access to equipment in the hospice. In addition, the IPU nursing team will liaise with each patient and family to arrange short daily visits from the patient's closest loved one and compassionate visiting, as appropriate. Read the full details here.
  • Community Nursing: Community services continue to operate, with a mixture of hands-on care and remote support.
  • Living Well and Family Support Services: Switched to virtual model, with care given remotely over the phone or via video call.
  • Shops: All 19 of our shops and warehouse are temporarily closed. Please do not leave donations outside our shops, as we are unable to collect them at this time.
  • Fundraising: All hospice organised events until the end of August have been postponed. If you wish to support us, please donate to our Resilience Fund.

Please do not visit St Richard’s Hospice if you have a high temperature or new, continuous cough. If you have these symptoms, please stay at home and self-isolate for seven days. See NHS advice on coronavirus.

Thank you for your support and understanding at this difficult time.
