We offer a number of groups for carers and people experiencing bereavement. All our groups run face-to-face.
Carers support groups
The Carers’ Café runs monthly for carers of St Richard’s patients.
This is a group for carers of patients who live with Parkinson’s and are supported by St Richard’s Hospice.
Bereavement support groups
This group is for bereaved people who wish to meet others in an informal social drop-in setting. People can attend 12 sessions. The group meets on Wednesday mornings, and afternoons.
Sunflower bereavement group
Closed mutual support group for people who have been recently bereaved. The group runs for six sessions (5.30pm to 7.30pm). There are groups for parent loss, partner loss and adult child loss.
Bereavement walking group
A gentle social group for people who have been bereaved. The group takes place on the last Sunday of each month.
This bereavement group supports people who want to find the motivation and confidence to cook and the opportunity to share a meal with others who are bereaved.
Self care through bereavement
This is a short, three session group for people looking to meet others that are bereaved and explore ways of coping and managing their grief.
Relatives and friends through trauma (Raftt)
A bereavement mutual support group for people who have lost a loved one through suicide. This group runs once a year for eight sessions (5.30pm to 7pm).
