Heather Elliott

Heather Elliott is an experienced clinical pharmacist with a strong background in business development and innovation. 

She currently holds the position of Head of Healthcare Development and Life Sciences at Boots UK, where she has worked for more than 20 years.

She is delighted to join St Richard’s Hospice and looks forward to working with the team to continue forward the great work that is being delivered for patients and their families every day.

During her time at Boots, Heather has worked in both Community and Hospital Pharmacy, has many years of retail experience, and has held several field-based and support office roles covering deployment, healthcare partnerships and business management for services into care homes. 

In more recent years, she led the Covid testing response for Boots and has been trailblazing Boots’ role in life sciences through a collaboration as a key delivery partner for the UK’s largest health research study ‘Our Future Health’. 

Heather has always been at the forefront of community pharmacy through her work with the Birmingham and Solihull Local Pharmaceutical Committee. In this role, she represented the interests of more than 300 pharmacy contracts as both a committee member over 12 years and her tenure as chair.

Heather recently qualified with an Executive MBA and Level 7 Chartered Manager status from Nottingham Trent University and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute.

Heather’s roots are in Plymouth, Devon. She now lives with her family in Worcestershire.
