Trip to the pub made possible for patient

This week, we were thrilled to turn Steve’s wishes into reality with a trip to the pub!

Steve, who lives with cancer, is being cared for on our In-patient Unit and says he hasn’t been able to get to the pub for many years due to his illness.

On Wednesday, 6 February, we took him out for lunch at The Oak Apple in Worcester – where he enjoyed a pint and a half, along with chicken and chips.

“I enjoyed myself – I would like to go again!” said Steve. “The staff here are very empathic. The care I have received is exemplary.”
