Group craft friendship quilt in aid of hospice

A craft group from Evesham have donated a spectacular friendship quilt to St Richard’s Hospice to help raise funds for the local charity.

The handmade double-sized quilt was created by the Littleton Thursday Craft Club before being machine quilted by Quilters’ Corner in Evesham. The hospice hopes to raise as much money as possible from the sale of the quilt to help fund the specialist care it provides patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Shoshanna Goldstein, who co-ordinated the project, said; “The group wanted to work together to create a quilt that would benefit a fantastic local charity. I work as a volunteer in St Richard’s Evesham shop and many of us know families that have benefitted from the compassionate care provided by the hospice. We are delighted that the quilt will raise funds to ensure that others will be able to experience the hospice’s excellent care.”
