About the role:
The main purpose of the role is to support our warehouse sorters by completing general hands-on tasks. You’ll be based at the St Richard’s Hospice warehouse in leigh Sinton, and will work alongside the warehouse staff and volunteer team to help facilitate the smooth running of the warehouse. Tasks include:
- Bagging up rag/stock
- Hanging stock up in the racking or bringing it down seasonally
- Breaking down cardboard
- General tidying
- Occasional small maintenance jobs
About you:
We are looking for volunteers who:
- Work well as part of a busy team
- Like to be active & moving around
- Are physically fit & happy to lift & shift 10kg bags
- Are comfortable with climbing steps to reach higher racking levels
Your Commitment:
- Ad-hoc or regular shift patterns on weekday afternoons
- Flexible hours to suit
Training provided:
- Full induction and role-specific training
- Support and guidance from other members of staff
All volunteers are required to adhere to St Richard’s Hospice policies and procedures and complete mandatory training on an annual basis. Volunteers who regularly come to the Hospice or have patient contact are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
