Stock Picker Volunteer – Warehouse, Leigh Sinton

About the role:

The main purpose of the role is to support the warehouse team to fulfil weekly clothing & accessory stock orders for our 17 charity shops across Worcestershire. You’ll be based at the St Richard’s Hospice warehouse in leigh Sinton, and will work alongside the warehouse staff and volunteer team to help keep the shops supplied with a good selection of season appropriate, quality stock. Tasks include:

  • Selecting stock to be sent out to our shops
  • Carrying-out stock rotation
  • Maintaining quality control

About you:

We’re looking for volunteers who:

  • have an interest in style & fashion & get excited about clothes!
  • have good knowledge of mens’ and ladies brands would be advantageous (but not essential as training will be provided)
  • work well as part of a busy team
  • have good attention to detail
  • have an appreciation for fashion & style, fabrics & design
  • have the ability to recognise the full range of potential customers within our shops
  • are physically fit

Your Commitment:

  • Ad-hoc or regular shift patterns within our operating hours (Mon-Fri, 8am – 5pm)
  • Flexible hours to suit

Training provided:

  • Full induction and training will be provided
  • Support and guidance by other members of staff

All volunteers are required to adhere to St Richard’s Hospice policies and procedures and complete mandatory training on an annual basis. Volunteers who regularly come to the Hospice or have patient contact are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
