Alongside caring for patients, St Richard’s also supports loved ones.
Youngsters in the monthly Waterbugs Group for children who have a loved one with a serious progressive illness enjoyed creating ice cream sundaes – thanks to Kevin in the hospice kitchen.
The youngsters enjoyed making the sundaes and loved eating them! They also decorated a canvas with words illustrating what the group means to them.
Our Waterbugs group allows young people to meet others who are going through similar experiences – it can be helpful for them to know they are not alone in facing such difficulties.
